The Mill Village Museum chronicles life in an early 20th century cotton mill town through displays of artifacts and rare photographs. Housed in the historic Zachary House, the home of former mill managers, the museum is North Carolina’s first to interpret the history of Southern mill people. The museum is located in the town of Cooleemee, 13 miles northwest of Salisbury on the South Yadkin River.
